After the winner in the 2010 Italian GT Championship in the "GT Cup" class (with Marco Mapelli on a Ferrari F430 prepared by Vittoria Competizioni), in 2011 Fabio Mancini backs in Europe to drive in the International GT Sprint Series. Mancini will be at wheel on the new Ferrari 458 Italia GT3, latest supercar made in Maranello, prepared by the official italian Team AF Corse. The championship will touch some of the best racetrack in Europe in 7 rounds: Monza (Italy), Valencia (Spain), Portimao (Portugal), Misano Adriatico (Italy), Spa-Francorchamps (Belgium), Mugello (Italy) and Vallelunga (Italy); any weekend is structured with two free practice sessions, one qualifying session and two races (25' + 1 lap each).

 

THE TEAM

AF Corse was born in 2002 and it's based in Piacenza (Italy) whare there are prepared some racing cars as Ferrari and Maserati. A modern structure that permit to work in the same time in a different series. AF Corse is founded and directed by Amato Ferrari and in these years the team has reached some important results around the world included important titles. AF Corse has partecipated to many important events as FIA GT, Italian GT Championship, American Le Mans Series, Le Mans Series, Intercontinental Le Mans Cup, International GT Sprint and event uinique as the 24 Hours of Le Mans, the 12 Hours of Sebring and the Petit Le Mans.

 

THE CAR

The Ferrari 458 Italia GT3 is a new car based on the same road car model, the 458 Italia. The biggest differences are the rear wing, the front splitter, different aerodynamic package and other modifications in the engine, gearbox, exhausts, setup and diffuser. The ABS is still present as the traction control setup.
